Sacramento River Bank Protection project Sacramento River and
Tributaries, California. Bank Protection Contract LAR1A3 of Separable
Element 42, Lower American River, Rm 4.40LT. Mitigation includes; Item
No.1: Irrigation system. Item No.2: Collection, propagation, storage
and delivery of plant materials. item No.3: Plug plant installation.
Item No.4: Container plant installation. Item No.5: Annual grass
seedling. Item No. 6: Erosion control blanket installation. Item No.7:
Woven erosion control mat installation. Items No.8 and No.9:
Revegetation sign installation: Types 1 and 2. Item No.10: Low Berm
Backfill/Planting Medium. Item No.11: Stabilized Aggregate Base Course.
This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 8999. The size
standard for this SIC code is: $5.0 million. Large businesses competing
for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the
requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it
intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontractingare
55.0% for small business, 8.5% for small disadvantaged business, and
3.0% for small business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with
lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted.
Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitations for
this project must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 08/12/97 to ensure
receipt of solicitations. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE will
not be honored. There is NO CHARGE for the soliciatations. Because a
limited number of solicitations will be reporduced, copies are limited
to one set per firm. Plans and specifications will be mailed out on or
about 08/18/97. Requests may be submitted by FAX, mail or in person to
USAED, Sacramento, ATTN: Plan Room, 1325 J Street, Sacramento, CA
95814. Do not address to the contract specialist for this will delay
your order. Firms are requested to provide their name, street and
mailing adadress, telephone number and FAX number, and the solicitation
number of the project. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
