A -- VHL AND MET GENE TESTING SOL RFQ-70142-NV DUE 082597 POC Debbie Moore, Purchasing Agent 301/402-4509, Trish Haun, Contracting Officer 301/402-4509 The National Cancer Institute intends to enter into an agreement with University of Pennsylvania, Genetic Diagnostic Referral Service (GDRS), Philadelphia, PA to perform VHL and MET gene testing and analysis on blood/tumor samples. It is the Governments belief that GDRS is the only source for getting complete VHL gene mutation analysis performed. GDRS will evaluate DNA for rearrangement testing and will sequence all three exons if a mutation is not detected by rearrangement testing. This work must be performed in a CLIA approved laboratory, and all results must be reviewed by two board certified clinical molecular geneticists with results only being reported when both agree on the interpretation of the results. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However organizations who believe they can meet this requirement may submit a proposal with all evaluative materials needed to make an award to Debbie Moore, 6120 Exective Blvd., Rm. 634 Rockville, Md 20892-7227, no later than August 25, 1997at 12PM EST.
