9th Annual US ARMY TANK-AUTOMOTIVE AND ARMAMENTS COMMAND RESEARCH,
DEVELOPMENT & ENGINEERING CENTER (TARDEC) GROUND VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY
SYMPOSIUM, March 21 -April 2, 1998, Naval Postgraduate School,
Monterey, CA. This entire symposium on combat and tactical vehicles is
classified up to and including SECRET US ONLY. The Symposium is
significant because of recent progress made in critical survivability
technologies and in the military utilization of these technologies. The

this technology on the modern battlefield, their relationship to the
Army's Tactics and Doctrines, and the effects these new technologies
have on ground combat vehicle designs. The organization will be similar
to preceding symposium consisting of contributed, as well as invited,
overview papers. To provide a balanced exchange of technical
