The contractor shall light armor, and equip, Government-provided vehicles. The armoring services shall be completed at the contractor's site. The contractor shall be responsible for transporting the vehicles from the Government site to their facility, and returning the vehicles to the Government site. Some vehicles will be armored at Government-provided work sites overseas. It is anticipated that the contract shall include a 12-month base period of performance with two 12-month optional service periods. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract is contemplated for this project. Written requests for this solicitation must reference S-OPRAQ-97-R-0018, Light Armored Vehicles.
