Presolicitation Notice/Procurement. Aircraft washes of 302d AW C-130 aircraft. Offers must familiarize, train, and document training of personnel in applicable Air Force/OSHA Hazardous Materials Handling/Utilization Standards. Familiar with Material Data Sheets on the products used for washing. Hazardous materials training/documentation program will be available for review at any time. Washes are both scheduled and unscheduled and accomplished on Peterson AFB, and accomplished in accordance with Technical Order 1C-130A-23, fig 1-2, para 1-5, and AFRESI 21-103. Steps 8 & 9 of para 1-5 (T.O. 1C-130A-23) will be accomplished by 302d AW personnel. Washes consist of the entire exterior of the aircrafts to include upper and lower surfaces of horizontal stabilizer and wings as well as both sides of verticle stablizer, belly, main landing gear wheel wells, struts and ballscrews, nose landing gear wheel well strut and sub assemblies, air deflector doors, flap wells, jackscrews, aileron push-pull rods, wing fillet areas, cargo ramp sides and sloping longeron areas which must pass a unit corrosion control inspection by the structural repair section or designated crew chief. Quality of the wash will be considered sufficient when surface grease, dirt, and debris are removed from surfaces and structures. The aircraft crew chief or isochronal inspection representative for pre-dock washes will also perform a cleanliness inspection utilizing the cleanliness checklist (AFRESI Form 164) required by AFRESI 21-103. Aircraft paint is porous and has a rough textured paint. The fuel used is JP-8 which causes more carbon and other types of fouling on the aircraft.
