COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 1,1997 PSA#1900DOC; Mountain Administrative Support Center; Acquisition Management
Division; 325 Broadway MC3; Boulder, CO 66 -- MICROWAVE GENERATOR SOL NB814000704241MB POC Michelle Bernal,
Purchasing Agent, (303) 497-3983 or FAX (303) 497-3163 E-MAIL: NOAA;
MASC Acquisition Management, Michelle.A.Bernal@noaa.gov. The National
Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) requires a microwave
generator with the following specifications: (1) Output frequency is
continuously variable from 0.01 to 60 GHz. Maximum output frequencies
lower than 60 GHz are unacceptable. (2) Output power is continuously
variable from 0 to -110 dBm, with the option 2D step attenuator. This
broad range of continuously variable output power is a strict
requirement. (3) Output signal has high spectral purity. (side- band
phase noise: -54, -83, -88, and -90 dBc/Hz for 100, 1k, 10k, and 100k
offsets, respectively, from the carrier frequency at 60 GHz with better
performance at lower frequency. Spurious harmonic and harmonic related
signals are less than -50, -40, and -- -30 dBc for the frequency
ranges 2-20 GHz, 20-40 GHz, and 40-60 GHz. There is no formal RFQ.
Interested sources may submit a bid by fax or mail but it must be
received on or before August 15, 1997. (0211) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0384 19970801\66-0023.SOL)
