Tennant, Jr., Contracting Officer, 301-713-0823 The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for new and reconditioned 1680 MHZ (ART) Type IIA radiosondes. Only radiosonde models which are included on the Qualified Products List may be offered in response to this solicitation. The Government may make multiple awards from the solicitation if beneficial to the Government. The envisioned contract(s) will be on an indefinite quantity basis and will be for an ordering period of approximately 15 months with one option year. The estimated quantities of radiosondes to be acquired for the base period and the option period are approximately 96,000 and 79,000, respectively. Solicitation 51-DGNW-7-90161 will be issued on or about August 14, 1997 and will close on or about September 15, 1997. See Notes 12 and 26. (0211)
