The U.S. Army Edgewood Research, Development and Engineering Center (ERDEC) will be issuing BAA 98-1 to support research and development for Chemical and Biological (CB) defense. The BAA will seek proposals in the following areas of CB defense: Biotechnology; Aerosol Science and Technology; Chemistry and Physics of Surfaces; Spectroscopy of CB Materials; Analytical Cytology; Decontamination Research; Reconnaissance, Detection and Identification; Individual and Collective Protection; Modeling and Analysis; CB Antiterrorism; Smoke/Obscurant Munitions; and, Supporting Technologies. The BAA will be issued on the world wide web in August 1997. Interested sources can access BAA 98-1 at the following Edgewood Enterprise web site: www.cbdcom.apgea.army.mil.
