Presolicitation Notice: The Federal Emergency Management Agency is seeking bidders for the following project: Roof Repairs and Surface Sealing for Building 413, at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Mount Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road (State Route 601), Bluemont, Va 20135, Loudoun County. Existing building description: Building 413 was constructed in the early 1900's. The load bearing masonry structure is three and one-half (3 1/2) stories over a full basement. A portion of the structure is single-story with a flat roof. The multi-story portion of the building has a slate roof with nime dormers and built-in (hidden) gutters. Contract work includes replacement of a single-story flat roof, reconstruction of deteriorate built-in gutters, replacement of roof flashing, installation of ice-dam membrane, and repair of slate roof. In addition the scope may include tuckpointing of the stone masonry building, exterior, waterproof sealing of the masonry wall surface, flashing, architectural metal repair, caulking and sealing. Prospective Contractors are required to possess a Virginia Class A license to submit a bid in response to the solicitation. A prebid conference and site visit will be scheduled, specific date/time to be identified in the solicitation. The period of performance will be 210 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction for this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This procurement is being issued as a small business set aside. A firm-fixed-price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded. The solicitation, to include specifications and drawings, will be made available upon WRITTEN request submitted to: FEMA, Mt.
