Support services will include nursing (control) stations; clean and soiled utility rooms; staff lounge; unit secretary; clean supply storage; staff toilets; equipment storage rooms; locker/toilet/shower room; housekeeping closet; nourishment prep room; offices; on-call room and bath; conference room; a blood gas lab; and respiratory therapy room. Work will include general demolition of existing areas and building of new space. Demolition will include but will not be limited to removal of porcelain enamel wall panels and metal frame parker window walls; interior metal studs and drywall; hollow metal doors and frames; vinyl floor tile; hospital communication equipment; lighting; HVAC ducting; plumbing; and encasement of asbestos fireproofing and insulation. New construction will include but will not be limited to saw cutting onto the outside deck area; the addition of new metal frame windows to match existing; hollow metal doors and sliding glass doors; metal stud and drywall interior partitions new vinyl and ceramic tile flooring; metal cabinetry; gypsum and ceramic tile walls; electrical power and lighting; HVAC and reheat boxes; replacement and negative air pressure monitoring system; plumbing system including air/gas/vac as well as communication and video monitoring systems. Patient rooms will have a headwall system installed and provide toilet facilities along with a clinical information work station area. The SIC for this project is 1542.
