The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for technical,
engineering, logistical and program advisory and assistance services to
support the Program Manager, Aircraft (PMA) of the Navy Targets and
Aerial Vehicles Program Office (PMA-208). This solicitation is a 100%
small business set-aside. SIC code 8711, Military Weapons ($20M)
applies. A Time-and-Materials, indefinite-quantity contract utilizing
fixed, fully burdened labor rates is anticipated for one base year and
four one-year options, plus an option to extend services up to six
months pursuant to FAR clause 52.217-8. Performance will be at the
Patuxent Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD and is scheduled to
begin in the first quarter of FY98. All proposals will be evaluated
using the Best Value award process. The maximum ceiling value of the
contract, including all options, is estimated at $7.5M. The Navy
intends to release the RFP, and any amendments and questions and
answers via the Internet in Word 6.0 format and will reside on the
NAVAIR Home Page for downloading, located on the World Wide Web (WWW).
The WWW server may be accessed using client browsers such as MOSAIC
and NETSCAPE. The WWW address, or URL, for the NAVAIR Home Page is
http://www.navair.navy.mil. The RFP will be under the Business
Opportunities heading, and then under NAVAIRSYSCOM.Wash.DC.contracts.
Relevant status of the RFP prior to release may also be found there.
