The requirement is for a LC24 Lightcycler w/start-up kit, Optimizer kit, Pentium 120 computer w/17" Princeton EO70 Monitor & Software Package. The Thermocycler must permit rapid (>15 minutes) amplification of extremely small quantities of amplification mixture and allows real time detection of amplification by the incorporation of dyes into the double stranded nucleic acid amplicon. Respondents to this proposal must submit a quote and literature no later than 5 days after publication of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this award is solely within the discretion of the Government. No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this synopsis. If quotes are solicited no additional synopsis will be published. No telephone requests will not be accepted.
