intends to award a contract to Zymark Corporation, Hopkinton, MA for
the purchase of two Microassay Core Robotic Systems. THERE IS NO
SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AVAILABLE. The systems include the following
equipment: 44444 XP Robot, 56983 System V-10 Controller, 60078
Operating System Software, 42862 System Productivity Software, 42861
Parallel Printer, 41643 Printer Stand, 42863 Hand Held Operator's
Terminal, 41591 Power & Event Controller, 48975 Local Controller Power
Supply 350 Watt, 49374 Microplate Hand, 550455 Zytrack, 58180 Zytrack
Table, 58181 Mobile Support Bench, 43690 Start-up Kit, 4655 Zymark
Personal Computer, (2 each); 53073 Temperature Controlled Large
Capacity Microassay Storage Carousel, (4 each); 58223 Room Temperature
Large Capacity Microassay Storage Carousel, (2 each); 50451 Microplate
Bar Code Reading Module, (2 each); Custom Automated Oven to 100 degrees
C, (2 each); 50444 Integrated Rapid Plate, (2 each); 51519 Stand Alone

with 2.5 software; Set-up and module level testing at factory; and
customer assistance during integration at Zymark. Systems will be
delivered to: USDA, FSIS, Midwestern Laboratory, St. Louis, MO (1
system) and USDA, FSIS, Western Laboratory, Alameda CA (1 system).
These systems are required to automate the Salmonella ELISA screening
procedures at the FSIS Midwestern and Western Laboratories for the
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System Final Rule. The
Zymark robotic system is consistent with existing technologies at the
FSIS Eastern Laboratory. Only fully developed, commercially available
systems shall be considered. All interested concerns must identify
their interest in writing and fully document their capability to meet
the agency's requirements by forwarding a detailed response within 15
days of publication of this notice. All responses must be in writing
and may be faxed to 202-690-1814. All proposals from responsible
sources will be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative written
responses are received within 15 days of publication of this notice to
determine that a comparable source is available, or is more
advantageous to the Government, negotiations will take place with
Zymark Corporation. There is no solicitation document available.
