SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking bidders for the following project: Lightning and Grounding Protection Report. The Contractor shall provide the necessary personnel, facilities, equipment and materials required to conduct a study of the following systems: inspection and evaluation of the power system grounding and bonding, lightning protection system, surge protection system, and ground resistance testing for fifteen (15) structures at the Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, Clarke County, Virginia. Final report shall incorporate findings regarding existing conditions of all systems, compliance with National Electrical Code and other required applicable references, any necessary recommendations for resolution to meet compliance requirements. A prequote conference and site visit will be scheduled, specific date and time to be identified in the solicitation. The total period of performance will be 90 calendar days from receipt of Notice of Award. This procurement is being issued as a small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1731. Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 million. A firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated to be awarded.
