Smith (502) 798-7834 (Site Code DAKF23) Addition includes constructing 2 large classrooms, 2 restrooms, storage rooms, and circulation space. Each classroom shall be divided by an accordion folding partition. The following systems shall be included as extensions of the existing systems: LAN, intercom, fire alarm, sprinkler, and security. Television and coaxial feeds shall be run to the media center. The classrooms shall have green chalkboards to match existing. The mechanical system shall be rooftop package unit(s) with gas heat and electric cooling; rooms shall have individual controls. The design shall include finishes, sitework, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems. The roof system shall match the existing roof system. Expansion of the existing media center includes renovation of the existing media center, and the renovation of an existing corridor and two existing classrooms, which will be incorporated into the total square footage of the media center. Work includes an addition of approximately 1,500 SF adjacent to the existing classroom on the west side. The total square footage of the renovated areas and the addition shall be approximately 6,900. The design shall include sitework, exterior utilities relocation, sprinkler system, LAN system, telephones, EMS, intercom, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing design. The media center shall also be wired for computers. The HVAC system for the additions shall be new roof-top packaged units. SIC Code is 1542/$17 Million. The estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance time is 180 calendar days. Award of the contract is subject to the availability of funds. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, this solicitation is Unrestricted; however, solicitation will contain an evaluation preference for SDB concerns.
