Wolfe, Jr. (304) 285-5883 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase with Molecular Dynamics, Sunnyvale, CA to provide the following materials for use with a Molecular Dynamics multi-dimensional gel reader/developer owned by NIOSH: (001) Small 20x25 cm unmounted screens and cassettes (MD146-808) and (002) Large 35x43 cm unmounted screens and cassettes (MD146-814). The ongoing warranty for this equipment states that we must use certified products and materials specific to this instrument only or we will nullify the warranty. Companies that can provide products certified for use with the referenced gel reader/developer under the warranty provisions of the equipment shall submit a substantive statement of their capability to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of this notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000. If no organizations express an interest within 15 days, the Government will proceed with award to Molecular Dynamics.
