This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. Solicitation number 626-49-97SC is issued as an Invitation For Bid (IFB). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. This acquisition is unrestricted. SIC is 5047. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is for one (1) Optima L-90K Preparative Ultracentrifuge, air-cooled drive, for 200-240 V, 50/60Hz, UL/CSA operation. Provides speed to 90,000 rpm and forces to 694,000 x g. It must feature a frequency-controlled vacuum encased induction drive system for ultra-smooth operation and efficient acceleration and deceleration of rotors. Drive is air-cooled (requires no freon) and imbalance-tolerant. The centrifuge provides digital control via touch sensitive keys. Standard commercial One (1) year warranty parts and labor. Data Service Manual that includes at a minimum parts list and schematics shall also be provided. This Notice Of Intent is not a Request For Competitive Proposals however, all proposals received by August 14, 1997 will be considered by the government. Information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
