Caudle-Wright (703)648-7483 The U. S. Geological Survey requires well
drilling services by the air rotary method at and near the New Garden
Spray Irrigation Site in New Garden Township, Chester County,
Pennsylvania, for a water resources investigation by the USGS. The site
is underlain 90% by the Setters Quartzite and 10% by a felsic gneiss.
Nine test boreholes shall total approximately 1,350 feet in depth.
These boreholes shall be monitoring wells. The program is exploratory;
therefore, the exact location and depth required for each test
borehole and the specific details of construction of each test borehole
and monitoring well can only be approximated at this time. Solicitation
No. 1434-HQ-97-SS-00228 will be available on or about August 05, 1997
from the U. S. Geological Survey, 205A National Center, Reston,
Virginia 20192, with a closing date 30 calendar days after issuance.
Requests shall be in writing (phone request will not be honored).

confirmation is recommended). A bid bond will be required with the
submission of bids. Award will be made on an all or none basis.
Responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by
