The work consists of the aerial application, by helicopter, of solid pellet fertilizer (prill) to an estimated 1,100 acres of forest land. The application shall occur on young stands of conifers, generally 15 to 30 years old which have been precommercially thinned or will be precommercially thinned, and to stands 60 to 80 years old that have been or will be commercially thinned. The contractor shall furnish all fertilizer, application equipment and associated labor. Project sites are located in the Glendale and Butte Falls resources areas, Jackson, Josephine, Douglas and Curry counties, Medford District, Oregon.
