COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 24,1997 PSA#1894DEVELOPMENTS AT NIST Researchers in the Metallurgy Division at the
National Institute of Standards and Technology and Indium Corporation
have jointly developed a new technology, Lead-Based Solders For High
Temperature Applications, NIST Docket Number 97-030. Solder produced
via the new technology exhibits good wettability and thermal fatigue at
moderately high termperatures, such as those that would be encountered
by electrical components in the engine compartment of an automobile.
Any parties interested in the further development or licensing of the
technology described above may write to: J. Terry Lynch, Licensing and
CRADA Officer, National Institute of Standards and Technology,
Industrial Partnerships Program, Building 820, Room 213, Gaithersburg,
Maryland 20899. This is not an announcement of a contract or grant.
