published JULY 18, 1997 PSA#1890 contained an incorrect description.
The correct description is as follows: The Naval Undersea Warfare
Center Division Newport has a requirement for engineering services for
the design, development and testing of tow cable, ropes and associated
hardware(such as terminations, bending strain reliefs and fairings).
The tow cables and ropes may contain metallic or non-metallic strength
members, power and signal electrical conductors, signal optical
fibers, jacketing material and filler material. The Government
anticipates awarding an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
contract wi th cost plus fixed fee provisions. Multiple awards are
anticipated in this case. The total level of effort is 6,820 manhours
for the three year period of performance. Proposals will be awarded on
a greatest value basis. Oral presentation of the technical proposals
are anticipated. The technical proposal will include the following
factors: Facilities, Past Performance, Personnel (2 key categories
required Program Manager and Engineer Level III), Technical Approach
and Management Approach. The service c ontract act will apply. The
proposed contract action is set aside 100% for small business. The
