This project consists essentially of, but is not limited to, remove existing gas fire furnaces complete to include gas piping, circuit breaker, wiring, and ductwork. Evacuate and remove refrigerant from existing air conditioning units per EPA regulation prior to removal of existing condensing units and evaporator coils from each housing unit, to include, refrigerant piping/tubing, conduit, wiring, disconnect switch, and circuit breaker. Provide a complete fully functioning system to include the provision of a new geothermal closed loop heat pump unit for each housing unit, to include new circuit breaker in existing panelboard, new wiring and appurtenance. Provide new supply air plenum. Provide new fire rated access door in each mechanical room. Remove existing hot water heaters and replace with new high efficiency units. Provide new sump pumps, sump wells, and piping connections in crawl space of each building. Certified Geothermal Service Contractor (GSC) installers are required. Project includes a Base Bid Item (Phase I) and Option Bid Item (Phase II). Performance period is 275 calendar days for Phase I, not including exclusionary periods. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1522. The small business size standard is $17.0 mil. The magnitude of this project for Phase I is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, and for Phase II is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
