Solicitation is for the third open season issuance of Federal Supply Schedule 38, Part I, Section A -- Construction and Highway Maintenance Equipment. The solicitation is for a Multiple Award Schedule 5 year period (3 years remaining) with a one time option to extend any contract(s) awarded an additional 5 years. This third open season solicitation is amended to incorporate three (3) new special item numbers (sins) 271-107, 271-108, and 271-109. Sin 271-107: leased equipment. Leasing will only be applicable to the descriptions outlined in special item numbers (sins) 271-101, 104, 271-105, and 106.; 271-108: spare parts. This special item number (sin) will only be awarded to an offeror or existing contractor who submits an offer or have been awarded a contract for sins 271-101 through 271-106.; 271-109: new technologies. This sin will be applicable to FCA clause 1997-1. This office cannot estimate the sales volume of sins 271-107, 271-108, and 271-109. This solicitation is non-mandatory indefinite quantity indefinite delivery type contract/ worldwide multiple award schedule to provide for delivery to overseas customers. Overseas coverage, by the contractor is optional. Contractor's may offer domestic and overseas coverage, domestic coverage only, or overseas coverage only. Federal supply classes are 2410, 2420, 3805, 3810, 3830, 2590, 3825, and 3895. Contract effective dates are February 1, 1998 or date of award whichever is later through September 30, 2000.
