after 10:00 AM for a pre-recorded message that will be available the
day after scheduled bid opening. The work includes demolition and
removal of existing Metal Building No 3370 along with existing asphalt
pavement, as required for new construction; relocation of existing
light poles and fence. Rework existing and asphalt roads at Rocket
Assembly/Receiving Building and Maintenance/Storage Building and
incidental related work. Construct and provide an explosive staging pad
to accommodate unloading and interim storage of 1.1 explosives. Provide
a Catenary lighting protection system and a new road from existing
taxiway to the explosive staging pad. Construct a new Rocket
Assembly/Receiving Bldg. with a Receiving/Inspection Bay and Missile
Shop, consisting of three concrete harden walls, a concrete harden
dividing wall between Receiving/Inspection Bay and Missile Shop Bay.
Provide a 2 ton monorail in each Bay. The Rocket Assembly/Receiving
Bldg. is air conditioned, heated and ventilated. Due to the required
construction for a harden building and the type of use of the bays, it
was decided to leave the walls exposed concrete even in the R-Value of
R-4 is less than desirable. The difference will be made up in the HVAC
unit. The roof R-Value is R-11 min. consisting of 3/4 inch thick
expanded perlite recovery board R-2.8 min., 1.4 inch polyisocyanurate
board R-9. Perimeter walls and roof consist of poured-in-place
concrete. Personal doors and frames are extra heavy duty hollow metal,
provide rough in for security to doors. Overhead doors are motorized
coiling doors. Roof construction to be modified bituminous membrane
roofing over rigid insulation, on poured-in-place roof. Roof drains to
scuppers into conductor heads and downspouts. Construct a new
Maintenance/Storage Building with a Bomb Build-up Bay, 20 MM Storage
Bay, Munitions Storage Bay, Office, Breakroom, Men and Women's Toilet
and Tele/Elect. Room consisting of a reinforced CMU dividing wall
between each Bay. Perimeter walls consist of concrete tilt-up panel
system with parapets. Personal doors and frames are hollow metal.
Provide rough in for security to doors. Overhead doors are motorized
coiling doors. Roof construction to be modified bituminous membrane
roofing over rigid insulation, metal deck and steel joist. Roof drains
to scuppers into conductor heads and downspouts. The
Maintenance/Storage Bay Building is heated and ventilated only in the
following bays: Bomb Build-up, 20 MM Storage and five Munitions
Storage. The Administration areas are air conditioned, heated and
ventilated. Due to the type of use of the bays, it was decided to leave
the walls exposed concrete even if the R-Value of R-6 is less than
desirable. The roof R-Value is R-11 min. consisting of 3/4 inch thick
expanded perlite recovery board R-2.8 min 1.4 inch polyisocyanurate
