Crace (706) 731-7173 Provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to remove and dispose of existing exterior asbestos/lead paint coatings from Buildings 18, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 40, 65 and 66 at VA Medical Center, Uptown division, Augusta, Georgia. Work shall also include: (1) Lead/asbestos paint abatement on the connector between Buildings 18 and 19, (2) Removal and disposal of one metal fire escape on the Building 18/19 conector, (3) Installation of vinyl siding on Buildings 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 40, 65 and 66, (4) Painting and sealing, landscaping, and all other miscellaneous work as shown on drawings and in accordance with the specifications. Applicable SIC code is 1542. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Bidding material consisting of drawings, specifications and contract forms may be obtained by qualified general (prime) contractors interested in submitting bids. Solicitation will be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis. Only twenty-five (25) sets of specifications and drawings will be available.
