Control and Prevention seeks to procure vessel inspection services, on
a as needed basis, for rodent infestation and issuance of
Deratting/Deratting Exemption Certificates on Government standardized
and issued forms. Services shall be provided at 85 ports throughout the
coastal United States. Minimum vendor experience: (1) licensed pest
control operator, and/or (2) one year experience in vessel rodent
infestation inspection. The period of performance will be one year from
award date. Multiple awards are anticipated through Government Purchase
Orders. Payments will be processed through established Government
payment procedures. This procurement has been set-aside for small
businesses. SIC Code 7342 has been assigned. All responsible offerors
shall submit a request for Request for Quotation (RFQ) package in
writing to address listed in (7) above, Attn: Anne Wright or via Fax at
(404)842-6896. Each location will have an individualized RFQ package,
therefore offerors must indicate specifically their location
preference. Listed are the Quarantine Station locations and the number
of ports serviced: Los Angeles, CA. (12 ports to include California
and Texas); San Francisco, CA. (15 ports California only); Miami, FL.
(12 ports to include Florida, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands); Chicago,
Illinois (2 ports to include Illinois and Minnesota); New York, NY (32
ports to include Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode, Island,
Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware); Seattle Washington;
Atlanta, Georgia (14 ports to include Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi,
Louisiana, South Carolina and North Carolina). Telephone responses will
not be accepted. RFQ packages will be available on or about August 1,
1997. Closing dates for submission of RFQ responses is August 22, 1997.
