Work consist of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment necessary for stabilizing existing islands with rockfill at four locations in Pool 9 of the Upper Mississippi River. The sites are located between approximate river miles 652.0 and 654.5 in the area known as Harpers Slough. A total of 15,000 metric tonnes of rockfill would be used to stabilize about 2,3000 linear meters of shoreline. It is expected that access to the sites will be by marine equipment. Some of the work may need to be accomplished during high water conditions so that no dredging will be necessary to construct or access the project. Some incidental removal of tree debris may be required. THE PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM (Public Law 100-656).
