Z -- MAINTENANCE DREDGING, 46-FOOT PROJECT KINGS BAY ENTRANCE CHANNEL CUT-1N, FERNANDINA HARBOR, FLORIDA SOL DACW17-97-B-0018 DUE 091897 POC Contract Specialist Robert Mosteller (904) 232-3739 (Site Code DACW17) The project work consists of removing shoals along Kings Bay Entance Channel Cut-1N from Station 100+00 to Station 424+00 to a de[pth of 49 feet with an allowable overdepth of 2 feet. The total amount of material to be dredged is approximately 1,267,000 cubic yards. Material dredged from Station 220+00 will be placed along Ft. Clinch Groin Fields and Beach Disposal Area-B. Material dredged from Station 220+00 to Station 242+00 will be placed in teh Fernandina ODMDS located approximately 13 miles from Kings Bay Entrance Channel. Method of dredging is unrestricted during the time period 01 December 1997 through 28 February 1998. Work must be completed by 28 February 1998. Work includes Sea Turtle Population Survey, Sea Turtle Trawling and Relocation, Turbidity and Endangered Species Monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 14 July 97. Invitation DACW17-97-B-0018 will be issued on or about 01 Aug 97 and opened on or about 18 Sept 97. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $50.00. Checks should be made payable to FAO Jacksonville District, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Florida.
