Stream Flood Control Project, Laie, Oahu, Hawaii. The project consists
of replacing approximately 315 linear feet of soil eroded from the
slope of a stream bank in front of a concrete floodwall with clean fill
material. The slope will be armored with a six inch thick Articulating
Block Mat (ABM). The top of the ABM will be anchored in a trench two
feet deep and backfilled with mortared riprap. The toe of the ABM will
be imbedded in a toe trench five feet deep and backfilled with
cobbles. A levee slope approximately 200 feet long will be restored and
extended to the level of the eroded stream bed. The side slope riprap
will be replaced to the original design, and the extended side slope
will be armored by a six inch thick ABM. The project will include
grading work on a portion of the West bank of the Laiewai Stream. The
