Donald.L.Moses@noaa.gov. T -- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service
(NOS), Office of Aeronautical Charting and Cartography (AC&C),
Aeronautical Chart Division (ACD) has a requirement for Aeronautical
Chart Drafting Services which include general drafting support for the
preparation of a reproduction camera ready copy from compilation
instructions and manuscripts for a variety of charts (approximately 17
kinds of charts), including U.S. Enroute High and Low Altitude Charts,
Gulf of Mexico & Caribbean Planning Charts, and Grand Canyon VFR
Aeronautical Charts (General Aviation and Commercial). These charts are
representative examples of the drafting work to be performed under the
proposed contract. A complete set of the different chart types is
available for inspection (by appointment only) by contacting the Point
of Contact (POC) listed above between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30
P.M. local time, Monday through Friday. All charts, except FAA
internal use charts, may be purchased at the NOAA Sales Office, located
at 6501 LaFayette Avenue, Riverdale, Maryland 20737. Each chart has a
critical pickup and delivery date which the contractor must meet. The
contractor must be located within a one-hour drive of the
NOAA/NOS/AC&C/ACD facility, located at 1305 East West Highway, Silver
Spring, Maryland, due to: the tight production schedule (turnaround
time) for the preparation of aeronautical charts; the need for numerous
deliveries and pickups; and frequent travel between the Government and
Contractor facilities. The one-hour drive restriction will be defined
in the solicitation. A requirements contract inclusive of one base
year and four (4) one-year option periods is the contract type
envisioned. Solicitation no. 51-DGNC-7-90007 will be issued on or about
July 31, 1997 with offers due back on or about August 31, 1997. Any
request for the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the
attention of the POC at the above address or the E-mail address
identified in this announcement. Telephone requests will not be
honored. See numbered Note 1 (Small Business Set-Aside). (0196) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0120 19970717\T-0002.SOL)
