M -- OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE XVIII AIRBORNE AND FORT BRAGG CLASSIFIED MATERIALS DESTRUCTION FACILITY SOL DAKF40-97-B-0016 DUE 090197 POC Contract Specialist Virginia Salzman (910) 396-4362 X231 (Site Code DAKF40) The US Army, Fort Bragg, NC has a requirement for operation and maintenance of the XVIII Airborne and Fort Bragg, NC Classified Material Destruction Facility. Operators will instruct users in the use and care of the shredding and pulverizing equipment; place classified materials in the incinerator for users, and ensure that security rules and regulations are followed. Operators are responsible for daily/weekly equipment/facility maintenance tasks, instruction of users in the safe operation of the equipment, and coordination of destroyed refuse removal. Contractor will be required to obtain a SECRET Facilities Clearance and individual employees to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance. Contractor and employees must possess a State of North Carolina EPA certification to operate and maintain gas-fired pyrolytic furnace (incinerator) equipment. Time specified for receipt of offers is estimated, actual opening time and date will be included in the solicitation. This procurement will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside requirement. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) assigned to this acquisition is 7389.
