71 -- PERSONAL COMPUTER WORKSTATIONS SOL FSIS-37-W-97 DUE 080597 POC Contact Point, Anita Voiselle, (202) 720-9891 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subparts 12.6 and 13.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, bids are being requested from this announcement, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Solicitation No. FSIS-37-W-97 is issued as an invitation to bid (IFB). The applicable SIC Code is 5021. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 46. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement for 182 Personal Computer Workstation Cabinets with fold-out worksurfaces. The cabinets must be manufacturered from non-corrosive materials that can withstand high heat and humidity. The cabinets must have adjustable shelving, sliding keyboard and printer shelves, removeable binder backstops, locking casters on the front, and have an attached multi-plug outlet assembly. Approximate dimensions are 29"w X 24"d X 63"H. The cabinets must have a locking tambour. All equipment must be easily assembled on site, without the need for special tools or equipment. All cabinets must carry the manufacturer's standard warranty. Delivery is FOB Destination to the following addresses: North Carolina (32 each); Missouri (40 each); Georgia (41 each); South Carolina (10 each); California (41 each) and; Kansas (18 each).
