(1) The operational characteristics w/PCT's gear box (a) Output angular range -- adjustable, 0 to 348 degrees (b) Slew rate -- 250 degrees per second (c) Accuracy -- 0.2 degrees (to the receiver output shaft) (d) Operating Torque -- rate dependent on stepper motor/gearbox and translator combination. (2) Typical APS Configuration (a) gearbox (b) translator (c) APS operations are accurate to within 0.2 degree when configuration includes PCT's gearbox/translator/stepper motor mechanisms. (3) Gearbox (a) gear ratio is 16:1 (b) high torque (c) weatherproof (d) output shaft 1/2" round with key or 1/2" squared; synchro, resolver, or potentiometer encoders (4) Hardware products (a) model number = GB161-C (b) Gear Box Assembly -- Mechanical interface required for APS/engine interface. This particular gearbox/translator is used in conjunction with the Model PS5 Automatic Throttle Positioning System from Process Control Technology, Inc. The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to purchase the Gearbox from Process Control Technology, Inc., 5368 Fredericksburg Road Suite 401, San Antonio, Texas 78229, unless responses to this notice reveal additional sources capable of supplying the Gearbox, model GB-161-C with equivalent specifications. The Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) will be used in awarding this contract by written quotation.
