TYSON, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source basic ordering agreement with GEC-Marconi Avionics for repair and support efforts for the Digital Flight Control System (DFCS) for the F-14 aircraft. These efforts consist of procurement of spares and repair parts, change kits, support equipment, technical manual source data, production configuration updates, engineering, prototyping, testing, installation and necessary technical data. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the DFCS, GEC-Marconi Avionics is the only known source with the required knowledge and expertise of the DFCS to successfully accomplish this effort.
