The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, proposes to contract for the drydocking and repair of USCGC MORGENTHAU (WHEC 722). The MORGENTHAU is homeported in Alameda, CA. All work to be performed at the contractor's facility. Contractor must possess or have access to a facility capable of drydocking a vessel with the following approximate characteristics: Length 378, beam 4N/A2 ft., draft 15 ft. 4 in., full load displacement 3327 long tons. Major work includes, but is not limited to the following items: temporary services; drydocking; underwater body preservation (partial); sea valve, sea strainer, & waster piece o/h; anchor windlass o/h; prop shaft mechanical seal renewal; controllable pitch propeller system maintenance; steering gear o/h; rudder, rudder stock maintenance; evaporator o/h, chemical cleaning and hydrostatic test; ventilation duct cleaning; freeboard preservation; potable water tank cleaning and inspection; padeye weight testing; MGT quill shaft forward bearing modification;fuel oil tank cleaning and inspection; MDE lube oil piping renewal; magazine insulation renewal; bilge preservation; draft mark renewal; firemain valve o/h; aft mast preservation; and forward mast preservation. Period of performance is 11 November 1997 -- 19 December 1997. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
