The contractor is responsible for accomplishing all items of work accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications and provisions of the contract. Any sundry labor, materials, euipment and/or appurtances not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of the scope of work hereinafter specified. The following items are a brief summary of the project revealing the general nature of the work involved. 1.1 Repair Lean To Hangars 1and 2, work includes but is not limited to the following: 1.1.1 Repair/Replacemnt of exterior doors & frames 1.1.2 Install new free standing metal canopies at designated exits 1.1.3 Replacement of exterior windows new historically simulated anodized aluminum. 1.1.4 Cleaning and repair of brick masonry 1.1.5 Modify and/or provide new T-bar acoustical ceiling tile at interior spaces adjacent exterior walls where transition of suspended ceiling occurs at new windows. 1.1.6 Install concrete ramp for the handicapped 1.2 Repair Lean To Hangars 3 and 4, work includes but is not limited to the following: 1.1.1 Repair/Replacemnt of exterior doors & frames 1.1.2 Install new free standing metal canopies at designated exits 1.1.3 Replacement of exterior windows new historically simulated anodized aluminum. 1.1.4 Cleaning and repair of brick masonry 1.1.5 Modify and/or provide new T-bar acoustical ceiling tile at interior spaces adjacent exterior walls where transition of suspended ceiling occurs at new windows. 1.1.6 Installation of exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) on existing metal exterior walls of hangar no. 4 The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 AND $1,000,000.00. solicitation will be issued on or about 28 Jul 97 with a bid opening date of on or about 27 Aug 97. This bidsolicitation is unrestricted. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1542 with an average annual gross revenue of $17.0 million for the last three (3) fiscal years. There is a $43.00 non-refundable charge for each bid package. Payment in the form of a company check, certified cashier's check or U.S. postal money order made payable to the Department of the Air Force must accompany each request. Personal checks or cash will not be accepted. Only written requests for proposal packages will be honored. No telephone or telefax requests for proposal packages will be accepted.
