The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for Optometrist services for the Federal Detention Center, 33 N.E. 4th Ave., Miami, Florida. The work schedule will consist of approximately two (2) sessions per month, each session will last four (4) hours. All sessions will be conducted from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The contractor will be responsible for the following: refraction exams; tonometry testing; eye glass frame adjustment; referral services to the Clinical Director for eye pathology; maintaining the appropriate documentation in the medical record, adherence to all Bureau of prisons policy. The anticipated period of performance will be as follows: one base year to begin upon date of award through 12 months with four subsequent one year option periods.
