Chris.M.Langton@faa.dot.gov. THIS IS SEARCH FOR SOURCES. The Department
of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Southwest Region,
Fort Worth, Texas, is searching for sources to provide a remote
monitoring system (RMS) to remotely perform periodic maintenance and
testing. The RMS will provide capability to remotely measure the
transmitter radio frequency (RF) characteristics, receiver performance,
and signal timing parameters of the Airport Surveillance radar model
eight (ASR-8). The RMS will gather performance data, detect alarms and
changes of state, translate and execute control commands, and
communicate with a maintenance terminal at a remote location. A radar
site rack and a maintenance terminal with control computer software are
necessary to perform these functions. Remote maintenance monitoring
(RMM) capability will provide the local equipment specialists the
flexibility of performing corrective operations and maintenance
following unscheduled outage, interpretations, or predictions of such,
from a remote location. The RMM system must perform the following
measurements on a scheduled, or as needed, basis and must be able to be
initiated locally or remotely. Transmitter Power Channel A&B Limts
