THIS IS SEARCH FOR SOURCES. The Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Southwest Region, Fort Worth, Texas, is searching for sources to provide a remote monitoring system (RMS) to remotely perform periodic maintenance and testing. The RMS will provide capability to remotely measure the transmitter radio frequency (RF) characteristics, receiver performance, and signal timing parameters of the Airport Surveillance radar model eight (ASR-8). The RMS will gather performance data, detect alarms and changes of state, translate and execute control commands, and communicate with a maintenance terminal at a remote location. A radar site rack and a maintenance terminal with control computer software are necessary to perform these functions. Remote maintenance monitoring (RMM) capability will provide the local equipment specialists the flexibility of performing corrective operations and maintenance following unscheduled outage, interpretations, or predictions of such, from a remote location. The RMM system must perform the following measurements on a scheduled, or as needed, basis and must be able to be initiated locally or remotely.
