The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ is requesting information from sources capable of developing Test Program Sets (TPSs) for Naval Avionics Systems. These TPSs will be developed for use on the Navy's Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). The Navy desires information on firms capable of managing a major effort in the design, development, integration and production of CASS TPS's for units under test (UUTs), currently supported on the remaining legacy ATE in order to transition them to CASS. The proposed effort would anticipate beginning effort on the initial development and production of the TPSs between 1998 and 2003 with final production and delivery to the fleet by 2004. Systems for which develoment effort is anticipated include: NEWTS/DMTS, RADCOM (F-14/H-60/EA-6B/E-2C), HTS (S-3B/EA-6B/FA-18/H-60), OJ-510/511 (EA-6B), TMV (H-60), CAT IIID (EA-6B/E-2C/S-3), IATS (FA-18) and VTS (S-3). The result of this effort is to remove aging and obsolete automatic test equipmentfrom the fleet, reduce the cost of avionics system maintenance, and provide a more operationally effective maintenance solution for naval aviation. Information is requested on the capability of firms to manage the scope of the effort, complete design, development and production in the timeframe described above.
