The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) requires a complete Seismic Cone Penetration (CPT) system in a self contained enclosure mounted on a truck (truck will be supplied by USGS). The CPT system shall consist of: (1) The CPT enclosure (box), weathertight, approximately 18'L x 8'W x 7'H,; (2) Front and rear jacks to level the system; (3) Twin rams to push/pull the penetrometer; (4) 2 cone penetrometers with inclination, and piezometer and seismic channels; (5) Computer system to record, print, and display data; (6) Seismic system includes all of the items necessary to perform seismic shear velocity tests, hammer and triggering system included; (7) 60 meters of sounding rod (8) Air conditioning equipment for the enclosure.
