The USPFO for Tennessee has a recurring requirement for cellular service for approximately 66 cellular telephones. Cellular phone service will be required for a basic period with three (3) one (1) year option periods. The basic period will be from approximately 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998. The first option period will be from 1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999; second option period will be from 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000; third option period will be from 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. Services required will be basic connection for local area numbers (primarily Nashville numbers), cellular secretary or voice mail with pager notification, nationwide roaming, call waiting, and call forwarding capability; 3 party conferencing, no answer transfer, detailed call billing and for certain phones -- the ability to keep the phone in a suspended usage mode during periods of nonuse. In addition, the Government will require the ability to add and delete cellular service on any phone or on any combination of the above described services during the contract term based on resource and requirements constraints. The total number of cellular phones requiring service during the basic and all options periods will not exceed seventy (70). The solicitation will be issued approximately fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this notice.
