The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for Dental Assistant services for the Federal Correctional Institution, 15801 S.W. 137th Ave., Miami, Florida. The work schedule will consist of four (4) sessions per week, each session will last seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours, not to exceed thirty (30) hours per week. It is anticipated that this will be a multiple award as a minimum of two positions will be required. The contractor will be responsible for performing the following: chair side assistance for the Dentist; prepare patients for treatment; maintain instruments; process x-rays; assist with oral surgery procedures and administrative functions to include filing, scheduling appointments and inventory of supplies The anticipated period of performance will be as follows: one base year to begin upon date of award through 12 months with four subsequent one year option periods.
