The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for Psychiatrist services for the Federal Detention Center, 33 N.E. 4th Ave., Miami, Florida. The work schedule will consist of five (5) sessions per month, each session will last four (4) hours, not to exceed thirty (30) hours per week. All sessions will be conducted from Monday through Friday. The contractor will be responsible for reviewing medical records and patient status of inmates classified as mentally handicapped/psychiatric by the nature of their illness; provide documentation of in the medical record on any patient interviewed or treated during a visit; make recommendations, changes and/or discontinuations of treatment where necessary; monitor any and all patients using psychotropic medications and make recommendations when necessary. The anticipated period of performance will be as follows: one base year to begin upon date of award through 12 months with four subsequent one year option periods.
