Furnish 6,000 cubic yards of granite riprap of various sizes in feet from .1 to 5.5 to be delivered and stockpiled at two main areas located, three fourths of a mile south of Babb, Montana and two miles north of the Babb, Montana. There is an approved quarry located approximately 6 miles south and 1- miles west of the St. Mary, Montana. The Divide Quarry is owned by the Blackfeet Indian Tribe, and is an approved source of rock for the riprap. All arrangements for purchase of the rock from the tribal leaders will be made by the contractor. If bidders furnish rock from other sites they will need to specify where those sites are, of a determination can be made as to whether rock from those sites will meet specifications This rock material is required for river bank stabilization on Swiftcurrent Creek and Kennedy Creek, located in Glacier County, Montana. The contractor must find an established delivery route to the stockpile sites, and not exceed the load limits for existing county and highway bridges. The rip rap is to be furnished by December 30, 1997. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2031 Federal Building, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether small, large, or minority-owned, and/or women-owned. This is a total small-business set-aside. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is 100 employees and the standard industrial classification code is 5032.
