M -- INFORMATION HANDLING AND SUPPORT FACILITY SERVICES POC Harold Miles (Contract Specialist) 202/512-3607 The U.S. General Accounting Office hereby provides notice of intent to issue a bridge contract for Contract No. 3130008 (as a sole-source to Lockheed Martin Services, Inc., Chery Hill, NJ). The purpose of this contract is to continue the operation of GAO's document support facility and functions related to the storage, control and distribution of GAO audit reports, legal decisions and other special publications. The major functions performed include, but are not limited to: document database creation and maintenance; VAX operations and DRS database programming and maintenance; indexing and abstracting; production of special publications and bibliographies; planned and demand distribution of GAO audit/non-audit/legal decissions; customer database maintenance; document storage, inventory, and reproduction; reconds management support services such as indexing and updating GAO directives, from and related subsystems; locator, courier and miscellaneous other related system support requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. This sole-source bridge contract will be approved under 10 U.S.C.253(c) (1) as the current contractor is the only source able to satisfy the agency's needs during this period. There is no solicitation for this bridge contract requirement to review. The sole-source bridge contract with Lockheed Martin Services, Inc. will take effect October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998.
