NASA/LeRC plans to issue a Invitation for Bid (IFB) for services, labor, equipment, material and testing required for the procurement, installation, and check-out of the specified equipment in accordance with specifications. In summary, this project includes the installation of cabling, conduit, components, terminations at four remote data collection stations, terminations at five terminal strip boxes, and termination of the power supply to the four remote data collection stations, as well as check-out and testing. This project is confined to the area of the Central Air Equipment Building (Building 64), the PSL Desiccant Air Dryer Building (Building 95), and the PSL Heater Building (Building 124) at the NASA Lewis Research Center. The project shall be installed, tested and fully operation within 90 calendar days, after contract award. The estimated price is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about July 30, 1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on orabout August 30, 1997. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the identified point of contact. All responsible offerors may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B". These documents will be in ASCII or RTF format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
