This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-97-Q-0315 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3577. This is a sole source procurement to Visicom Laboratories, 10052 Mesa Ridge Court, San Diego, CA 92121 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c). The requirement is for 16 each VMEBUS with MIL-STD 1397D, Visicom Laboratories Part Number 4001/4921. The items must conform to the configuration of existing equipment. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination via a DD250. The required delivery date is 30 September 1997. The award will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Shipping terms will be negotiated as FOB destination.
