Services, non-personal: Service consists of providing all qualified personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform general library services at Scott AFB, IL. Services for the Base Library will include technical services such as, but not limited to: automated circulation, interlibrary loan, reference, cataloging, collection management, acquisitions, and bibliographic searching. Services are provided in support of the mission requirements of all organizations and offices on Scott AFB and those logistically supported by Scott AFB. Services are also provided in support of the educational, informational, and general reference needs of the entire Scott AFB community. Educational support includes both professional military education and voluntary education courses. Library programming includes all age groups, general and special interest groups, and all educational levels (preschool through doctorate). The government anticipates awarding a commercial type contract for a four month basic period with three option years. The Basic Period will run from 01 Jun 98 to 30 Sep 98; Option Year One will run from 01 Oct 98 to 30 Sep 99; Option Year Two will run from 01 Oct 99 to 30 Sep 00; and Option Year Three will run from 01 Oct 00 to 30 Sep 01.
