Z -- REPLACE SANITARY AND STORM PIPE SOL 626-45-97 DUE 081597 POC Susan Hilley, 615-327-5312 This is a solicitation notice for Replace Sanitary and Storm Pipe at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN. A firm, fixed price contract will be awarded to a single prime contractor. Work will include furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and supervision for the demolition and removal of approximately 6200 linear feet of sanitary storm and acid pipe ranging in size from 2-inch to 6-inch. Work also includes the installation of approximately 1,250 linear feet of new acid waste piping along with three ancillary dilution tanks. Work shall be performed in a "removal/replace" manner so as to minimize service interruption. Lead painted pipe hangers are to be disposed of and replaced. All work is located in the sub-basement. Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 1711. All work is to be completed within 130 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 7/15/97. Bid opening is at 1:00pm CST on 8/14/97 in Room 1-G134 at the VA Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
