Transportation (DOT) Transportation Administration Service Center
(TASC), plans to issue firm fixed price multiple award, indefinite
delivery indefinite quantity contracts for interim contractor support
services in support of it various business practices. The business
practices are customer service, business support, worklife wellness,
building management, information services, learning and development,
space management, security operations, systems development, information
technology operations, and human resource services. A description of
the services provided by the TASC business practices can be found at
the TASC link to the DOT Home Page at "http://www.tasc.dot.gov/". TASC
intends to issue multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
contracts separately for each business practice, or some combination
thereof, and compete subsequent task orders among those firms that win
a contract within each area. This contract will be a small business
set aside, firms must indicate whether they are a small business under
SIC code 7361. Offerors may submit proposals in more than one area. It
is TASC's intent to disseminate the solicitation electronically via the
Internet. The solicitation will be posted on the TASC link to the DOT
World Wide Web (WWW) Home Page at "http://www.tasc.dot.gov/". When
connected, select the link titled "Transportation Acquisition Service
Center", then the item titled "Acquisition Services", then "Procurement
Opportunities". The anticipated release date of the formal solicitation
is August 1, 1997. Note that this date is subject to change and it is
the responsibility of interested parties to periodically check the
solicitation status either through accessing the DOT Home Page or by
calling the above point of contact. If you have any technical

solicitations, unless a request is received electronically via E-Mail
at alma.frye@ost.dot.gov/ via facsimile at 202-366-9848 or in writing
at the address cited, Attn. Alma Frye. Offerors are encouraged to
access the solicitation electronically versus receiving hard copies as
proposals will be due thrity (30) days from release date. DOT
anticipates that any amendments to the solicitation will be
disseminated to vendors via the method the solciitation to vendors via
the method the solicitation was received. DOT will not consider
telephonic requests. The solicitation will contain specific instruction
for submittal of questions after release. DOT, Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working captial assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
